    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Coach Nasreddine Nabi is struggling in his bid to rebuild the Soweto giants after their 10th-place finish in the PSL last season.

Du Preez is among the players who were not favoured at the start but has since started the last four games after Ranga Chivaviro and Christian Saile failed to deliver.

However, he was subbed at halftime during the Glamour Boys' 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy.

Nabi has since said he is hoping to get some quality players in the attacking department to help ease pressure against the defenders.

Du Preez insists the Saturday game is not a chance for him to send his club coach a message.

    WHAT DU PREEZ SAID

"It’s a different competition, it’s outside the club," the 27-year-old told the media.

"Whatever happens, happens. I’m not here to prove anything to the coach at Chiefs.

"For me, it’s just to come here and enjoy [myself]. It’s something different to the club level in the Carling Black Label.

"For me as a player, it’s just to go out there to enjoy and do my best. The result will take care of itself," Du Preez concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

Du Preez has scored three goals in 10 appearances for Amakhosi across all competitions this season.

He is one of the quality players who can beat any defender in the world, on a good day.

Despite his denial, it is obvious he will be aiming at proving to Nabi that he still has what it takes to deliver at Amakhosi.

The game against Magesi is a massive chance for him to show his potential.
