    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Buccaneers are yet to sign any player during the current January transfer window but have instead loaned out Katlego Otladisa to Sekhukhune United while releasing defender Sandile Mthethwa who has since joined AmaZulu.

However, Pirates have been linked with Stellenbosch midfielder Jayden Adams and Polokwane City's Oswin Appoollis.

Both players are South Africa internationals who were at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals and are key players for their current clubs.
