  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Alcaraz booked his place in the Wimbledon final on Friday after beating Daniil Medvedev. After the match, he was interviewed on Centre Court and, while he is usually a fan favourite, he was booed, having claimed that Sunday will "be a really good day for Spanish people, as well with the Euro Cup."

Boos subsequently engulfed Centre Court, as the usually mild-mannered crowd made it clear where their allegiances lie ahead of England's shot at glory.

Alcaraz quickly rowed back his comments, insisting: "I didn't say Spain's going to win! I'm just saying that it's going to be a really fun day!" Alcaraz will hope that both he and La Roja are successful on Sunday, but Wimbledon's crowd clearly feel rather differently.
