NFL 2024 : Five NFL offensive players poised to breakout this season

Now that most of the dust has settled from the NFL offseason, most team's rosters almost complete ahead of training camp.

While most of the attention will be focused on rookies and big-named superstars that have changed teams, every year several players take massive leaps forward in their production.

With that in mind GOAL has taken a shot at predicting some of the most likely offensive players to break out in a big way this season.

  • Dalton Kincaid Buffalo BillsGetty images

    Dalton Kincaid

Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid should be set to benefit from the departures in Buffalo's wide receiver room in a massive way this season.

The Bills lost their No. 1 WR when they traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans earlier this off season and also allowed WR Gabe Davis to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

Kincaid ended his rookie season last year with a very respectable 73 receptions, 673 yards, and two touchdowns. Heading into his sophomore season Kincaid would have been expected to build on those numbers even under normal circumstances, but given Buffalo's lack of experience at the WR position the Bills will certainly rely on production from their tight ends in a major way.

An increased amount of '12' personal combined with an increased amount of targets from quarterback Josh Allen's tendency to attack defenses with an inside out approach should create the perfect storm to allow Kincaid to grow into one of the league's most productive tight ends.

    Anthony Richardson

Anthony Richardson's rookie year had gotten off to a tremendous start before it was cut short by injury.

Richardson started the first four games of the season and picked up 577 yards and three touchdowns while completing 50-84 passes.

He also recorded 136 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns before he suffered an AC joint sprain that required season-ending surgery, essentially turned his rookie year into a red shirt season

Now that he's had a taste of NFL action and an extended amount of time to prepare for his sophomore season Richardson should be poised to take league by storm, assuming he can avoid another major injury.

  • George Pickens Pittsburgh SteelersGetty images

    George Pickens

George Pickens looked poised for a breakout season last year before the Pittsburgh Steelers offense fell off of a cliff.

Despite the ineptitude around him on offense, Pickens still managed to build off of an impressive rookie season by recording 63 receptions, 1,140 yards, and five touchdowns.

The additions of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields at quarterback, along with Arthur Smith coming in as the new offensive coordinator should put Pickens in a position to build off his the impressive numbers he has posted during his first two seasons in the NFL.

  • Joe Tippmann New York JetsGetty images

    Joe Tippmann

Yes, surprise, surprise an offensive lineman has made our list.

Tippmann first broke into the New York Jets lineup in Week 3 after he was forced to fill in at right guard due to the team's injury crisis.

He eventually moved to back to his natural position at center in Week 9, and was highly productive at the point of attack.

With a year of experience under his belt and more importantly a healthy Aaron Rodgers back on the field to handle majority of the protection calls, Tippmann should be able to show the signs of dominance he flashed during his rookie season on a consistent basis.

  • Kyle Pitts and Drake London Atlanta FalconsGetty images

    Kyle Pitts and Drake London

It's a 2-for-1 special to close out our list as both wide receiver Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts should finally be able to capitalize on their loads of potential, for the same reasons.

The most important of those reasons being the massive upgrades the Atlanta Falcons brought in at quarterback.

After signing Kirk Cousins in free agency and then drafting Michael Penix Jr with the No. 8 pick in the draft Atlanta now has two starting caliber signal callers after struggling at he position for years.

Not only did the Falcons bring in massive upgrades at QB that should help both of their prized pass catchers but they also fired former head coach Arthur Smith and brought in Zac Robinson as offensive coordinator for new head coach Raheem Morris.

Cousins helped Justin Jefferson morph into arguably the best WR in the NFL, during their time together in Minnesota

Las season, London finished the year with 69 receptions, 905 yards, and two touchdowns while playing in 16 games. Pitts, ended his year with 53 receptions, 667 yards, and three touchdowns while appearing in all 17 games.

The duo of young and promising pass catchers did the this while catching balls from Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke.

Regardless of whether it is Cousins or Penix Jr. taking snaps under center for Atlanta this year, the upgrade at QB should make a drastic difference in the production of London and Pitts.
