Percy Tau on target as Union Saint-Gilloise beat Beerschot Wilrijk

Bafana Bafana and Union Saint-Gilloise attacker Percy Tau starting to find his feet in Belgium.

The 24-year-old has netted two goals and grabbed one assist in his last two league matches for Saint-Gilloise.

On Saturday, Tau helped Saint-Gilloise come from two goals down to beat Tubiza 3-2.

He delivered a cross to Roman Ferber before finding the back of the net deep into stoppage time against Tubiza on the day.

Two days later, the Witbank-born former Mamelodi Sundowns star scored Saint-Gilloise's second goal with six minutes of regulation time still to play.

The match ended 2-0 in favour of Saint-Gilloise, who are now on 23 points from 10 league games.

Tau has already featured in all of his side's 10 league games this season, scoring three and recording five assists in the process.

Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs winger Siphiwe Tshabalala is still struggling to settle down in Turkey.

Shabba was in action for Erzurumspor against second division side Keciorengucu on Tuesday night.

With this being a Cup game, the 34-year-old played the full 120 minutes as Keciorengucu held 10-man Erzurumspor to a 2-2 draw.

The outcome of the match had to be decided on penalties, and Shabba missed the only spot-kick of the penalty shootout as his side eventually succumbed to 5-4 defeat.

Shabba and Tau left the Premier Soccer League for Europe at the beginning of the current campaign.

At 34, Tshabalala's move to Turkey came as a major shock, but Tau was expected to go abroad sooner rather than later after a series of impressive performances whilst on the books of Sundowns.
