Jomo, who battled for game time at Pirates, has stated that he feels welcomed at the Eastern Cape side having established himself as a regular.

“Yes, I would stay at Chippa because I am enjoying my football. The guys have been good to me," Rakhale told IOL.

"Everyone in the team welcomed me. I feel at home here and I am enjoying my game again. For now, I would love to see the team in the top 8," he continued.

The Chilli Boys are placed eighth on the league standings, but they are only ahead of 10th placed Bidvest Wits on goal-difference with one game left this season.

Vladislav Herić's side will lock horns with Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

"The way we have been playing it’s promising that we can reach it. There’s only one area we need to improve which is scoring the goals," the 28-year-old explained.

"We get plenty of chances but we don’t score scores. In the past game (against Ajax Cape Town) we had about five chances," Jomo added.

"Defensively we have been good. I can say I am confident of top 8. The spirit is high and we looking to end the season on a high note,” he concluded.

Rakhale has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Chilli Boys - netting twice in the process.

He left Bucs having made nine appearances for the Soweto giants this season.
