Louis Ajana nets brace as Zalgiris enter A Lyga Championship Round on a high

Louis Ogana led 10-man Zalgiris to an incredible 3-1 comeback victory over Atlantas as the 2018 Lithuanian A Lyga regular season wind down on Wednesday.

The hosts started on the wrong foot as Atlantas took the lead in the 19th minute through Marius Papsys.

Ten minutes later, the 22-year-old Nigerian striker levelled matters for his side, who suffered another setback in the 38th minute.

Liviu Antal was sent off for two bookable offences, leaving Valdas Urbonas’ side at a disadvantage.

Fears of a loss were immediately quashed when Marquinhos gave the hosts the lead for the first time in the game two minutes after going a man down.

And Ogana wrapped up the victory with his seventh league goal of the season - in 23 outings - immediately after the first-half break to send Zalgiris to the Championship Round placed second in the log, after garnering 62 points from 28 games.

The Vilniaus LFF Stadionas outfit are trailing table-toppers Suduva with five points, and they have five games - 15 points to negotiate - in the decisive round to stake a claim to the Lithuanian top-flight gong.
