Tottenham have reached out to Paris Saint-Germain regarding midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to

Interest from Tottenham is said to be concrete while Chelsea have also been linked with the Frenchman. However, the Blues have reportedly yet to make an approach.

Rabiot's contract with PSG ends in June, and the club still hopes to reach a deal with the 23-year-old midfielder.

Brown set for new deal at Celtic


Celtic captain Scott Brown is set to sign a new ceal with the club, according to STV.

The midfielder's current contract is set to expire next summer, but Brown, who has won eight league crowns with Celtic, is set to sign a new deal in the coming weeks.

"Me and the club we are speaking. There is no problem between myself and the club," Brown said.

"They know i'm going to sign. There is no issues whatsoever. It's just a matter of time for us to get it done."

Juventus join Man City and Man Utd in pursuit of Wolves duo


Wolves midfielders Diego Jota and Ruben Neves are drawing interest from Juventus, according to the Mirror.

Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be interested in the two, who were instrumental in Wolves' promotion to the Premier League.

However, Juventus have also apparently joined the race to sign a pair of Cristiano Ronaldo's Portuguese compatriots after keeping tabs on the duo through the first four matches of the Premier League schedule.

Valverde delaying talks of Barcelona renewal


Ernesto Valverde is delaying talks of a potential Barcelona renewal until January, according to Marca.

The Barca manager signed a two-year deal with an option for a third when taking over the club in May 2017.

The club won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish SuperCup in his first year in charge, but Valverde isn't quite ready to decide on a long-term future.

"It will depend on if I am enjoying my work," he said.

The Stuttgart defender saw his reputation rise during this past summer's World Cup with a stunning goal against Argentina serving as one of the highlights of the French campaign.

In the months since, Pavard has drawn interest from a variety of teams, and it appears Juventus has joined the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich as potential suitors for the 22-year-old defender.


Simeone never saw Griezmann at Barcelona


Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has said he never believed Antoine Griezmann would join Barcelona.

The France star announced his decision to stay at Atletico just before a World Cup in which he helped lead his country to glory.

Speaking to Cadena Cope, Simeone said of Griezmann: "I always felt that he wanted to stay."

Insigne won't be sold for less than €200m - De Laurentiis


Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says Lorenzo Insigne won't be sold for less than €200 million (£178m/$232m).

The 27-year-old has become a key figure for Napoli, scoring 62 goals in 256 career appearances.

De Laurentiis said that he and Insigne's agent Mino Raiola have decided on €200m as the player's "symbolic release clause."

Milan attempted to sign the 21-year-old this summer, but their offer of Manuel Locatelli and cash was turned down.

Everton forward Ademola Lookman will switch his international allegiance from England to Nigeria, according to Pulse

The 20-year-old was born in England to Nigerian parents, and has represented England at the U19, U20 and U21 levels. 

Man Utd eye Berta for director of football


Manchester United are looking at Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta for their director of football position, reports the Evening Standard.

The Italian has emerged as one of the leading candidates for the role, which United hope to fill by the end of 2018. 

Berta has been with Atletico since 2013, and has been instrumental in crucial signings like Antoine Griezmann and Jan Oblak.

Gundogan to reject Barcelona move


The German international has two years remaining on his current deal

Ilkay Gundogan will turn down interest from Barcelona to renew his Manchester City contract, claims The Sun. 

The Blaugrana are hoping to lure Gundogan to the Camp Nou in January, but the midfielder is understood to be happy playing under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

The 27-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal, and is keen to open talks over an extension. 

Loftus-Cheek will wait for Chelsea chance


Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not ask to leave Chelsea over a lack of playing time as he is willing to wait for his chance.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been included in the England squad for Tuesday's clash with Switzerland despite his inability to break into Maurizio Sarri's starting XI.

Although he enjoyed his loan spell at Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek says he is willing to remain patient and try to impress when given the opportunity.

Bent: I want to join Rangers


Darren Bent says he wants to join Rangers and team up with Steven Gerrard.

The 34-year-old is without a club after leaving Derby at the end of the season and says he would jump at the chance to move to Ibrox.

“You’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in football in Rangers," he told Talksport. “To get the opportunity to go up there and play – definitely!”

Alderweireld not disappointed by collapsed Man Utd move


Toby Alderweireld says he was not disappointed when a move to Manchester United failed to go through.

The Belgian was one of many centre-backs United pursued during the transfer window, but Tottenham refused to let him go.

And Alderweireld says he accepted the club's decision as he was not willing to push for a move "at all costs".

John Terry's move to Spartak Moscow has hit a snag during the final round of negotiations, says Sport-Express.

Although the Chelsea legend has agreed to spend a season in the Russian capital, details on his deal still need to be hammered out.

And the 37-year-old has asked for an increase on the €1.9 million he has agreed to, which Spartak are reluctant to grant him.

Terry's agent could not reach an agreement with the club but will return for talks over the next few days.

James would reject Man Utd move


James Rodriguez is not willing to move to Manchester United while there is the prospect of Zinedine Zidane taking over at Old Trafford, Don Balon reports.

The Real Madrid man is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, and if he fails to secure a move there could move to England.

United have been touted as a potential buyer, but the Colombia international will not move there if there is a chance 'Zizou' could take over.

PSG have already made contact with Zidane


PSG made contact with Zinedine Zidane over the possibility of the ex-Real Madrid coach taking over at the Parc des Princes last season, Le 10 Sport reports.

Zidane, however, was not willing to make such a big call at the time. 

The club remains interested in the man who led Real Madrid to three successive Champions League crowns before stepping down in the summer.

Real Madrid are the latest club to show an interest in Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong, says OK Diario.

Barca have been prusuing the Netherlands international since the start of the year, while Tottenham have also been credited with an interest.

The midfielder is expected to cost at least €50 million (£45m/$58m) and Madrid are ready to put forward an offer.

Inter offer Real Madrid and Man Utd targets new contracts


Inter will look to tie two of their most valuable players Mauro Icardi and Milan Skriniar to new contracts, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Icardi has been courted by Real Madrid and Juventus recently as he continues to shine for the San Siro outfit, but he is expected to renew his deal to 2023 instead of head for the exit.

Meanwhile, Skriniar has already rejected one offer from the Nerazzurri and is holding out for more money amid reports Manchester United and Barcelona want him.

Tottenham have their eye on Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong, according to the Sun.

Mauricio Pochettino did not sign anyone in the summer and wants reinforcements for his squad. He sees the Netherlands international as the perfect addition, though Barcelona are also interested.

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel revealed Alphonse Areola is in pole position to be the club's number one goalkeeper over Gianluigi Buffon.

Italian great Buffon left Serie A champions Juventus for PSG as a free agent at the end of the season and the 40-year-old started the first three matches of the Ligue 1 campaign.

BSergio Busquets is nearing an agreement to sign a new deal with Barcelona, but small details are holding up the contract, reports Marca.

The new contract will see Busquets become one of the highest paid members of the squad, with a salary comparable to Luis Suarez.

The hope had been to announced the deal when Busquets returned from Spain duty, but that is unlikely to happen now despite a deal being agreed in principle in mid-August.
