Joe Dodoo joins Blackpool on loan from Rangers

Blackpool have completed a loan move for Ghanaian international Joe Dodoo from Scottish side Rangers until end of the season, with an option to buy.

The 22-year-old fell down the pecking order in Steven Gerrard's team and is definitely not in the plans of the former Liverpool captain ahead of the upcoming season.

He even went on another loan last season at Charlton Athletic but failed to impress as he made only five appearances, scoring one goal.

However, Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer was full of praise of the young striker after his unveiling and believes his quality will help the team.

“Joe is a fantastic signing for us and I would like to thank Rangers for allowing him to join us for the season,” Bowyer told his club’s website.

“He can play in a variety of positions across the front line and adds pace, power and goals to the side. We’re really excited to work with him,” he added.

Aside Dodoo, Blackpool have signed former Bolton midfielder Chris Taylor on a one-year deal.
