Fikayo Tomori is confident that Hull City can ‘pull away’ from the relegation zone after earning a point against Reading in Saturday’s English championship outing.
Nigel Adkins’s men have won five games and drawn ten in 27 encounters, which leave them in the 20th spot, two places above the drop zone.
And the Anglo-Nigerian is certain that the club will rediscover its form with the talents in their rank, though he admitted their unimpressive run in the campaign thus far.
“The ball has not bounced for us a couple of times, the goalkeeper has pulled off some good saves and the ball has just trickled away a couple of times, which is disappointing,” Tomori told Hull Daily Mail.
“But we have faith in our attacking players. People like Jarrod Bowen, with 11 goals, Fraizer (Campbell) and Nouha (Dicko) as well so we have a lot of good goal-scoring talent going forward.

“I am very confident we can pull away from the relegation zone. People like Jarrod, Jackson (Irvine), Nouha and Fraiz give us an option going forward and they are going to score goals so it is just a matter of time.”
“There is definite frustration that it was not more than a point [against Reading]. Coming off the back of a win last week [at Blackburn in the FA Cup], we wanted to build on that.
“We had chances but a clean sheet is something positive and something to take into the next game and help us get a win.
“Things have definitely tightened up under the new manager. A lot of times if we hadn't conceded in the last minute or had kept tighter then we would have been higher up the table and got a lot more wins but we are where we are."
