Helmy warns Zamalek: We are not through yet

Coach Mohamed Helmy has warned Zamalek they have not yet sealed their place in the Caf Champions League group stage despite a comfortable 4-1 Enugu Rangers on Sunday.

Bobby Clement’s strike proved a mere consolation as goals from Stanley Ohawuchi, Ayman Hefny, Hossam Paulo and Mostafa Fathi tamed the Flying Antelopes at Cairo International Stadium.

Despite the comfortable lead, though, the tactician urged his side to maintain concentration ahead the second leg so they can be sure of their place in the group phase.

“Thanks to the players, they showed great quality and massive responsibility against Rangers,'' Helmy told media after the game.

“We should not forget that we have a second match against Rangers, we have not qualified yet.

''The second leg requires more concentration to guarantee the qualification to the next round.”

The second leg holds at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium – with Imama Amapakabo’s men needing to score three unreplied goals to reach the next round.
