Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela will be at the helm of Bloemfontein Celtic come next season.
A few weeks ago, Komphela had vowed to return to the coaching circles in the near future following a two-month absence in football.
He resigned as head coach of Amakhosi in April 2018, soon after his former club was knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Free State Stars.
While Komphela was linked with a possible move to SuperSport United, who are yet to appoint a new head coach, he remained tightlipped about his next possible destination.
He was also reported to have attracted interest from an unnamed club beyond the South African borders, but that move never materialized.

Now, the Bloemfontein-based outfit has reached an agreement to have him as their head coach for the upcoming campaign.
This follows the resignation of Veselin Jelusic, who only lasted a season at the club. The Serbian tendered his resignation after it emerged that the club could be sold to the highest bidder.
As things stand, Celtic still belong to Max Tshabalala, although it remains to be seen for how long this will be due to financial reasons.
Komphela returns to the Free State province to coach a team which his rival both as a player and as a coach whilst at Free State Stars.
He will be hoping to revive his coaching career which suffered a major setback during his three-year stint with Chiefs between 2015 and 2018 where he failed to win a major trophy.
Komphela, a former Bafana Bafana assistant coach, is currently in Johannesburg where he's working as a football pundit for the SABC for the during of the ongoing Fifa World Cup tournament in Russia.
It's unclear at this stage whether or not the SABC will allow Komphela to travel to the Free State to start preparing for the new season with his new team before the end of the global showpiece.
The Kroonstad-born mentor has coached various clubs in the PSL since becoming a head coach in the early 2000's, including the now defunct Manning Rangers and Dynamos, Platinum Stars, Maritzburg United and Free Stars among others.
