Everton vs Nottingham Forest: Predictions, tips & betting odds

Everton welcome Nottingham Forest to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League with Frank Lampard's side still looking for their first points of the season.

The Toffees were beaten 2-1 last weekend at Aston Villa having lost their opening match of the campaign at home to Chelsea.

Forest meanwhile picked up their first top flight win for 23 years last week with a 1-0 success over West Ham although the visitors to Merseyside remain clear outsiders for another success.

Everton vs Nottingham Forest latest odds

It was the Blues' home record which helped them avoid relegation last season with Everton recording nine wins in front of their own fans.

The hosts are offered at 10/11 (1.91) with bet365 to secure three points while Forest can be backed at 3/1 (4.00) and the draw at 13/5 (3.60).

Everton vs Nottingham Forest first goal scorer

Everton's Venezuelan forward Saloman Rondon is the favourite to break the deadlock at 6/1 (7.00) ahead of Anthony Gordon at 13/2 (7.50) and Demarai Gray at 15/2 (8.50).

For the visitors, Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only goal of the game against West Ham and the Nigerian international is priced at 17/2 (9.50) to net first at Goodison Park ahead of Jesse Lingard at 9/1 (10.00).

Everton vs Nottingham Forest preview

The Toffees have played well in parts of their opening two matches but have no points to show for their efforts.

A lack of decisiveness in the final third has been evident and if Anthony Gordan and Dele Alli leave the club as is expected they will be further weakened up front.

Forest meanwhile were perhaps a little fortunate to beat West Ham, with the visitors missing a penalty and perhaps both these sides on Saturday would be happy to get a point.

A third successive defeat would heap pressure on Frank Lampard so avoiding defeat will surely be the priority for the hosts.

Everton vs Nottingham Forest tips and predictions

Under 2.5 goals is offered at 8/11 (1.73) which is a price just about big enough to interest, while backing a goalless first half at 13/8 (2.62) could also appeal.
