Barcelona were ‘tough’, admits Chelsea’s Victor Moses

Victor Moses has admitted that Barcelona were ‘tough’ following their 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie on Tuesday night.

After several missed chances, Antonio Conte’s men eventually broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute from Willian’s fine finish but Lionel Messi cancelled out the goal with 15 minutes before full time to earn Ernesto Valverde’s side an advantage going into the second leg.

And the Nigeria international who featured from start to finish in the encounter is looking forward to a better outing in the return leg at the Camp Nou on March 14.

“Tough game last night the lads gave everything,” Moses tweeted.

“We go again in Barcelona unreal support from our fans.”

The wing-back who has made 19 top-flight appearances this season for the Stamford Bridge outfit will now turn his focus to the Premier League when fourth-placed Chelsea travel to Old Trafford to lock horns with second-placed Manchester United on Sunday.
