    Head-to-head and recent form

Hugo Broos' men are currently second on the table with 14 points following the unfortunate incident that led to the deduction of three points.

In the last international break, they managed to collect four points thanks to a win over Lesotho and a draw with Nigeria.

Zimbabwe have managed four draws and as many wins in their pool, meaning they have absolutely no chance of qualifying.

In the head-to-head record, in the last five meetings, South Africa have three wins across all competitions, while Zimbabwe have one, with the remaining fixture ending in a draw.

The initial qualifier between the nations ended 3-1 in favour of Bafana Bafana.
