Will Relebohile Mofokeng be available for Orlando Pirates against TS Galaxy? Buccaneers issue injury update

Relebohile was not available for selection when Orlando Pirates beat Lioli FC 4-0 in a CAF Confederation Cup match last weekend.

The winger has been struggling with fitness issues, and it is to be seen whether he will be selected for Tuesday's Premier Soccer League clash with TS Galaxy at Orlando Stadium.

"They have some injury concerns heading into the fixture, with Relebohile Mofokeng among the doubtful starters for Tuesday’s match after sitting out the clash against Lioli," Pirates said in a statement.

In the past three seasons, Mofokeng has been a very influential player in the Pirates squad, especially last season when he formed a formidable partnership with Mohau Nkota.

However, the departure of Nkota to Saudi Arabia appears to have left Mofokeng as an isolated figure, struggling to replicate the form he displayed in past seasons.

That leaves coach Abdeslam Ouaddou trying to avoid the wrath of fans who might accuse him of failing to get the best of his winger.

Most important for Mofokeng is staying fit, especially since Bafana Bafana will be participating in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Staying on top of his game will help the winger be selected for Afcon.
