  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs have already travelled to the Netherlands for the pre-season, where they will play several matches to try out several tactics ahead of the 2025/26 edition.

The Glamour Boys will play five games which will give coach Nasreddine Nabi a glance on new players and what they are bringing to the team.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

One of the players who has a massive task to underline his worth is Wandile Duba.

The versatile 21-year-old attacker scored six goals and provided three assists for Amakhosi in the 39 matches played across all competitions.

However, with some new faces in the attacking department already on board, Duba will have to double his efforts to command a starting berth.

The Chiefs Academy graduate is convinced that a strong showing in pre-season against an equally strong opponent is what the team needs.

    WHAT DUBA SAID

"Coming back here is amazing, I'm so excited for the new season," he told Amakhosi's media department.

"It will be a great experience for us to go outside [the country] and a pre-season outside.

"I hope we find stronger teams to play against in our friendly games so they can prepare us for the new season," Duba concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

Duba was affected by injuries on numerous occasions last season, which affected his momentum.

Playing as the main striker might not be achieved in the new campaign, but still, as a winger, the attacker has demonstrated his ruthlessness by taking defenders head-on.
