Victor Letsoalo: PSL club signs ex-Kaizer Chiefs target after AmaZulu FC exit

The Rockets have opted to give the forward a chance to continue playing at the top level after his exit from Usuthu.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Letsoalo was among the players signed by AmaZulu at the beginning of the 2023/24 Premier Soccer League season.
However, he struggled to make an impact at Usuthu, scoring just three goals despite making 22 appearances across all competitions.
Usuthu opted to part ways with him.

"Letsoalo is an experienced player, and yes, we have finalised a deal with him," a source from the club confirmed to GOAL.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Bafana Bafana international was introduced to the PSL in the 2016/17 season by Baroka, and since then he has played for several teams including Royal AM and Sekhukhune United.
The 2021/22 campaign was Letsoalo's best season; he scored 15 goals in the league, finishing second behind Peter Shalulile who found the back of the net 23 times.

WHAT NEXT?
After finishing the season in the sixth position as well as gracing the Carling Knockout final - where they narrowly lost to Stellenbosch, a lot is expected from the Rockets.
It is a crucial addition to coach Sead Ramovic who will be hoping to guide the team to a top-three finish in the PSL.
