According to The Sun, the Brazilian forward finds himself embroiled in legal trouble after his former personal assistant, Reginaldo Pereira, went to court accusing the Spurs star of unfairly dismissing him without prior notice. The 60-year-old claims that he was relieved of his duties in the cinema room of Richarlison’s luxury mansion in Barnet, north London and the sudden termination has led to severe personal consequences, including the dissolution of his marriage.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The report mentions that Pereira has long served Richarlison and supported him since the footballer moved to England from Brazil. However, he now feels used, since he was unfairly cast aside without any warning or explanation despite providing service all around the clock.

  • WHAT PEREIRA SAID

“After being dismissed I had to seek medical treatment to deal with the negative impacts of this toxic environment," Pereira said. "My wife filed for divorce. I’m emotionally shaken and unemployed.”

Pereira is seeking £95,000 in compensation from the star who earns £130,000-a-week at Tottenham. He has further accused Richarlison of not registering him as an employee and instead paid £500 per week directly into his bank account, without offering paid holidays or other employment benefits. The papers submitted to the tribunal include claims of "long working hours, excessive demands, and verbal abuse", particularly from Richarlison’s father, Antonio Marcos de Andrade. Pereira also states that his duties extended beyond his official responsibilities, with him being tasked with caring for Richarlison’s pets, among other duties.
