Ten-man Kaizer Chiefs brush aside Richards Bay to snap three-match winless run thanks to Yusuf Maart masterclass

Kaizer Chiefs beat Richards Bay 2-1 in a Premier Soccer League match at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.

Goals from Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez earned Amakhosi a well-deserved victory with Yusuf Maart grabbing two assists.

Chiefs played the majority of the second-half with 10 players after Reeve Frosler was sent off after kicking his opponent in the face.

The Natal Rich Boys grabbed a late consolation goal through Yanela Mbuthuma in stoppage time.

This has to go to Yusuf Maart for showing leadership and leading by example on the night.

The Amakhosi captain assisted both goals for the Glamour Boys.

Brandon Truter, who joined Richards Bay at the beginning of the season, has been reportedly facing the axe following a slow start to the campaign.

This defeat may further complicate Truter's future at the Natal Rich Boys. However, it remains to be seen whether the club's management will fire him or not.

Chiefs will look to make it two wins in a row when they host Royal AM at the Peter Mokaba Stadium this weekend.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay are set to lock horns with AmaZulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium as they look to bounce back to winning ways.
