SuperSport United secured their second win of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in Polokwane.
New signing Tashreeq Morris scored the only goal of the match, earning Gavin Hunt’s side all three points.
Chiefs, now dealing with consecutive league defeats, drop out of the top eight.
Chiefs made one change to their starting lineup, with Edson Castillo replacing Yusuf Maart. In contrast, United made eight changes, introducing Thakasani Mbanjwa as their goalkeeper and pairing Thulani Hlatshwayo with Ime Ikon in central defense.
Both teams showed glimpses of good football but lacked creativity in the final third.
Wandile Duba had Chiefs' first real chance, but his tame effort was easily saved by Mbanjwa. The second half mirrored the first, with both sides battling hard but struggling to register shots on target. Mbanjwa produced a crucial save late in the match, denying Mfundo Vilakazi's strike and preserving United's narrow lead.
With the victory, SuperSport leapfrogged Chiefs into the top eight, leaving Amakhosi in ninth place after back-to-back league defeats.
