Siwelele FC vs Orlando Pirates Preview: Kick-off time, TV channel & squad news

Siwelele go into Tuesday's match on the backdrop of a tumultuous period in their house, which saw the club parting ways with chief executive officer Stanley Matthews and assistant coach Andre Arendse.

The difficulties also saw Sundowns reportedly blocking a deadline-day loan move for defender Kegan Johannes to Siwelele.

Coach Lehlohoniolo Seema will be without suspended forward Samir Nurkovic, who was red-carded in their last game against Magesi last Saturday.

Seema will be hoping his attacking department will not be blunt as they are within Siviwe Magidigidi and Thabang Mahlangu, who are in the Amajita camp preparing for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

It is to be seen if Kaizer Chiefs loanees Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane will be handed playing minutes.

Pirates go into this match having witnessed their last-minute bid for Stellenbosch midfielder Andre de Jong collapsing.

But coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will take comfort in that the material he has had has been delivering.

Deano van Rooyen, Selaelo Rasebotja and Thabiso Sesane are still recovering from injuries, and their absence has not been felt much.

Siwelele are struggling for form, having lost five games so far, winning just once and recording just one draw. 

That has left them with four points, the same as basement side Chippa United, who have an inferior goal difference.

They come up against high-flying Pirates who are unbeaten in six successive games across all competitions. 

Victory for the Buccaneers will place them just a point behind third-placed Kaizer Chiefs.

This is the first time for Pirates to meet Siwelele, with the two sides having previously clashed in fiery battles when the latter were SuperSport United.
