Predicting Orlando Pirates XI to face Siwelele FC - Abdeslam Ouaddou to drop Oswin Appollis for in-form winger?

Fresh from a winning start in the CAF Champions League campaign, Orlando Pirates resume Premier Soccer League duties with a match against Siwelele FC awaiting them.

Siwelele, who are struggling in the league, will host the Soweto giants at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday.

The match against the on-form Pirates comes days after Siwelele made some changes in the club's administrative hierarchy.

For Bucs, the mission remains one: to beat the opponents and continue with their three-match unbeaten run in the league. To get a win, it all depends on how coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will line up his players and how the same players will execute the matchday plan.

Here, GOAL takes a look at how the MTN8 champions will likely line up against Siwelele.

Unless injured or suspended, Chaine's position in the starting line-up is not debatable, given how good he has been for Bucs.

    RIGHT-BACK: Thabiso Lebitso

Against Siwelele, the experienced defender is looking for his third straight start.

    LEFT-BACK: Deon Hotto

One of the players who has been ever-present in the Bucs' line-up is the Namibian, and he is expected to feature once again.

  • Lebone Seema of Orlando PiratesBackpagepix

    CENTRE-BACK: Lebone Seema

Although Nkosinathi Sibisi is back and ready, Seema has been preferred in recent games, and the same case is expected to be repeated.

  • Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Orlando PiratesBackpage

    CENTRE-BACK: Mbekezeli Mbokazi

Another star who is always certain of a starting slot, not because he is a favoured choice but because his work on the pitch is evident for everyone to see and judge.

  • Sihle Nduli, Orlando Pirates, August 2025Backpage

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Sihle Nduli

Nduli has proven his worth, for he has performed impressively, and this has made Ouaddou trust him and maintain him in the starting XI on a regular basis.

  • Thalente Mbatha, Orlando Pirates, August 2025Backpagepix

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER: Thalente Mbatha

He and Nduli always give the Pirates' backline the necessary cushion, and their chemistry in midfield is proving to be something solid.

  • Sipho Mbule, Orlando Pirates, August 2025Backpage

    ATTACKING MIDFIELDER: Sipho Mbule

Since day one, the Bafana Bafana attacking midfield has looked like a renewed figure at Pirates.

He influences games and gives Pirates an advantage, especially in the creativity aspect.

  • Oswin Appollis, Orlando Pirates, August 2025Backpage

    RIGHT ATTACKER: Oswin Appollis

Despite the increasing competition for this spot, Appollis has managed to keep his berth in the starting XI.

Will Ouaddou rest the Bafana star and field in-form Tshepang Moremi?

  • Relebohile Mofokeng, Orlando Pirates, August 2025Backpage

    LEFT ATTACKER: Relebohile Mofokeng

The good thing about the Pirates' youngster is that he can play as a left attacker and even as a number 10 and deliver.

  • Tshegofatso Mabasa, Orlando Pirates, September 2025Backpage

    CENTRE FORWARD: Tshegofatso Mabasa

The Pirates' top scorer in the last two seasons is picking up his form. He scored in the MTN8 final and earned a brace against Lioli in the CAF Champions League.

Mabasa looks to have risen in the pecking order, relegating Boitumelo Radiopane and Evidence Makgopa in the process.
