    Ndlovu's Pirates experience

Having shone while playing for a now-defunct Maritzburg United, Orlando Pirates managed to convince Siphesihle Ndlovu to snub Mamelodi Sundowns.

The midfielder joined Bucs in 2019, but by 2022, he left for another former Premier Soccer League outfit, SuperSport United.

However, he left with the MTN8 winner's medal that the Buccaneers won in his debut season with the Sea Robbers.

In their bid to strengthen the Glamour Boys, the management have signed 11 players, among them Ndlovu, who was initially playing for the Swanky Boys.

He has so far made five PSL appearances, with one goal, for the Soweto giants, four from the bench.

Ndlovu played the entire game as Amakhosi beat Golden Arrows by a solitary goal in their last game, just before the international break.

Chiefs or Pirates? Ndlovu has his say

The midfielder has now compared the two traditional rivals.

“You can never compare the two, but you can only be grateful that you played for both, and both clubs are totally different, and how they do things is different, and how they set up is absolutely different," he told the media.

"But I’m very privileged to have played for both and very happy about that."

  • What is expected of Ndlovu?

Ndlovu made a positive contribution in his first start for Chiefs against Arrows, dictating the tempo in midfield.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi will most likely retain the player against Sekhukhune United on Tuesday in a top-of-the-table outing.

If he remains consistent, Ndlovu might just force his way into the Bafana Bafana team.
