    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann surprisingly left out defender Antonio Rudiger as he announced his team for the upcoming matches against Hungary and Netherlands, with Sky reporting that the decision comes following a request from Madrid, who wish to give some of their big names another chance to rest after competing at Euro 2024.

    According to RMC Sport, Los Blancos also made a similar request to France regarding Kylian Mbappe hoping to give their new signing some time to relax and potentially and prepare for the long and intense season that has only recently begun.
