Real Madrid pressure France and Germany to leave out likes of Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger for upcoming Nations League clashes

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann surprisingly left out defender Antonio Rudiger as he announced his team for the upcoming matches against Hungary and Netherlands, with Sky reporting that the decision comes following a request from Madrid, who wish to give some of their big names another chance to rest after competing at Euro 2024.

According to RMC Sport, Los Blancos also made a similar request to France regarding Kylian Mbappe hoping to give their new signing some time to relax and potentially and prepare for the long and intense season that has only recently begun.

While Germany granted Madrid their wish, France coach Didier Deschamps decided against leaving out Mbappe as he named the attacker in his team, insisting that it was the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star's choice to join up with the squad.

German defender Rudiger and Mbappe will likely be involved on the pitch later on Thursday, August 29 evening when Real Madrid take on Las Palmas as they look to keep their gap with Barcelona from opening up further.
