Richards BayMarumo Gallants surrendered a slim lead to be held by Polokwane City at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Sunday.
Bheki Mabuza opened the scoring for Gallants three minutes into the second half before Bonginkosi Dlamini hit back for the visitors on 62 minutes.
After gaining a point, Gallants, who are under 28-year-old coach Alexander Lafitte, remain in position eight, but winless in three games following their first draw of the season, while City are 10th.
