Phuti Mohafe explains Polokwane City's puzzle on confirmed Kaizer Chiefs transfer target Appollis - 'It was a disturbing factor'

Polokwane City wideman Oswin Appollis has attracted interest from Kaizer Chiefs and North African clubs.

Amakhosi even came out in the open to say they would like to sign the 23-year-old Bafana Bafana star.

Polokwane City coach has admitted it has been difficult for him to plan around a player he fears could leave the club anytime.

“It was a disturbing factor because you are training someone whom you are not sure when will he be leaving,” Mohafe told iDiski Times.

“And the only thing that helped us was to speak to the boys and to get their minds on if they are going or they are staying."

The scramble for Appollis' signature is likely to continue during the PSL January player transfer window.

Having established himself as a regular Bafana Bafana starter, the winger's profile is likely to rise and remain attractive in the transfer market.

That could make Mohafe make his long-term plans leaving room to lose Appollis.

Appollis is highly likely to make it into Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos' final squad for the upcoming international matches.
