Orlando Pirates vs Polokwane City FC Preview: Kick-off time, TV channel & squad news

The Buccaneers have announced that they will still be without Relebohile Mofokeng as well as defenders Tapelo Xoki and Deano van Rooyen, who are still injured.

After coach Abdeslam Ouaddou watched his forwards fire blanks against FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo in the Champions League, he might make some changes in attack.   

He might also make some tweaks at the back by bringing in Lebone Seema for Nkosinathi Sibisi.

No Polokwane City player is suspended for this match, leaving Phuti Mohafe with a wide pool to select his team from.

The Buccaneers are smart from the 3-0 defeat by FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round, first leg match last Sunday.

They go into Wednesday's match with their mind also on Sunday's match, in which they will be trying to overturn the deficit suffered in Lubumbashi.

Coach Abdeslam Ouadduo will, however, be trying to have his players fully focused on the Polokwane City game.

On the PSL front, Pirates are on a five-match winning streak and placed third on the table with six points fewer than leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played three matches more than them.

Their opponents, Polokwane, are sixth with 15 points, the same as Pirates, who have played two games fewer than them.

Rise and Shine are coming from elimination from the Carling Knockout and they have won three of their last five PSL matches, drawing one and also suffering defeat once during that period.
