Orlando Pirates sensation Kamogelo Sebelebele makes a huge promise after stunning Mamelodi Sundowns - 'We know where the MTN8 trophy is going'

Orlando Pirates sensation Kamogelo Sebelebele has made a bold prediction on the MTN8 trophy.

The former TS Galaxy attacker is looking forward to playing in the final again and has stated that he knows where the trophy will go. Apart from making the prediction, he has promised that more goals are coming.

"I’m looking forward to the final, which will be my second final as a professional player. I want to win gold and bring home a medal, and it’s obvious we know where the MTN8 trophy is going," Sebelebele told the club's media.

"What we’re missing now are just the goals, but they’ll come, and when they do, we’ll make our supporters happy. They always come out in numbers, and it’s our responsibility to make them proud."

The forward-cum-wingback also assessed their performance against Mamelodi Sundowns and revealed what gave them the win at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

"The game wasn’t easy. We didn’t start the way we had planned, but at half-time we regrouped in the change room and made some adjustments. The players who came off the bench also brought a lot of energy," Sebelebele added. 

"At the end of the day, we’re one team. Whether you’re on the pitch or on the bench, everyone is important."

Pirates are in the MTN8 final courtesy of Sebelebele's efforts; he scored in both legs of the semi-final, with the two games ending in one-all draws.

That means the second-leg duel had to be decided from the spot kicks, and Pirates managed a 4-1 penalty shootout victory over ineffective Downs.

The Sea Robbers are now set to face Stellenbosch in what is a repeat of the 2024 final.

His performance has been impressive, and he has raised hopes that he could turn out to be one of the best signings Pirates have brought on board.

The challenge for him now is to remain in that form as the season gathers speed.

Meanwhile, Pirates are scheduled to face Orbit College on August 26, hoping to get their second PSL win this season.
