Orlando Pirates player ratings vs Orbit College: Lebone Seema shines, Patrick Maswanganyi bounces back, while Deon Hotto struggles to make an impact

Sipho Chaine (7/10)

After a near-miss just before halftime that almost allowed Orbit College to take the lead, Chaine steadied himself and delivered a much more assured performance in goal for the  rest of the match. 

Bandile Shandu (7/10)

Shandu put in a commendable performance at right-back, signalling his intent to stake a claim for a regular spot in the team.

Lebone Seema (8/10)

Beyond his stunning long-range strike to win the match for Pirates, Seema was rock-solid at the heart of the Buccaneers’ defence.

Mbekezeli Mbokazi (7/10)

Partnering with Seema, the young captain put in a composed and dependable performance.

Deon Hotto (6/10)

The Namibian struggled to make an impact and was taken off at halftime.

Sihle Nduli (6.5/10)    

Delivered a below-par performance, which ultimately led to him being substituted off at halftime.

Patrick Maswanganyi (7/10)

‘Tito’, as he is affectionately called, bounced back impressively after being substituted at halftime over the weekend in the MTN8 semi-final second leg against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Abdoulaye Mariko (6.5/10) 

Also among those taken off at halftime, Mariko struggled to make an impact on the game.

Tshegofatso Mabasa (6.5/10)

Showed glimpses of his skill but struggled to make a decisive impact in the final third, contributing moderately to the team’s attacking play.

Kamogelo Sebelebele (7/10)

A solid outing, combining energy and creativity, and looked a constant threat going forward, even if the final product was limited.
