    WHAT HAPPENED?

Sportswear manufacturer Adidas has revealed Orlando Pirates' home and away jerseys for the 2025/26 campaign.

The revelation follows the tradition of most clubs, which unveil their new colours before the new season begins.

Pirates' traditional colours have been maintained, with the black one having red piping on the collar and side panels. Similarly, the away kit has also followed suit, with the dominant white colour maintained.

The unveiled home kit is not far from what was recently leaked online.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Already, the new colours have divided the opinion of Bucs' fans even before they hit the market.

Fans have expressed their opinions, some saying the home jersey is a hit and the away one is a miss, and vice versa.

Bucs becomes the second Premier Soccer League side to reveal their colours after Mamelodi Sundowns.

Before starting their Fifa Club World Cup campaign, Masandawana revealed their colours specifically for that tournament, but it is expected that the same jerseys will be used for the upcoming season.

    WHAT NEXT FOR PIRATES?

The new colours will be expected to be in full display when the Sea Robbers start their pre-season programme in Marbella, Spain.

On July 11, the Soweto giants will face English side Bolton Wanderers before playing Pafos FC from Cyprus on July 13. Games against Las Palmas and Granada will be held on July 17 and July 19, respectively.
