No Kaizer Chiefs Transfer For Monnapule Saleng! Orlando Pirates winger set for shocking transfer to PSL newbies - Report

Orlando Pirates' winger Monnapule Saleng is reportedly on the verge of joining Premier Soccer League newbies Orbit College.

According to SABC Sports, Bucs and Orbit College are in advanced talks over a potential move for the ostracised forward, who is expected to move on a loan deal.

Should the deal see the light of day, it means Saleng will be returned to the club where he launched his career.

After standing out for Orbit College, the winger was signed by Free State Stars in the lower division.

After impressive performances for Free State Stars, the Sea Robbers signed Saleng. However, the winger's life at the Soweto giants has been overshadowed by the reported wage saga, something that is understood to have led the club's hierarchy to ostracise him.

Saleng has not kicked the ball for Bucs since December 2024, when he featured against Al Ahly in a CAF Champions League group stage match.

The star, who featured for Bafana Bafana in the CHAN qualifiers first leg in April, played 70 games under former head coach Jose Riveiro, where he scored 25 goals and provided 17 assists.

Saleng was also part of the team that won three MTN8 trophies as well as two Nedbank Cups. However, despite the shining chapter with Pirates, things took a negative turn for him over the reported fallout over wages.

A possible return to Orbit College could offer Saleng a good opportunity to revive his stalled career, having been linked with with Kaizer Chiefs.

The good thing about the reported loan deal to the newcomers is that he will remain in the Premier Soccer League, the biggest football stage in the country.
