Nigeria goalkeeper Nwabali attracts interest from Queens Park Rangers and Al Ettifaq

The 27-year-old had an impressive outing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament where he contributed to Nigeria reaching the final.His performances sparked rumours of interest in the goalkeeper with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/kaizer-chiefs-rumoured-target-stanley-nwabali-of-nigeria-chippa-united-is-set-stay-put-as-amakhosi-search-for-itumeleng-khune-s-replacement/blt24ad516f6bf0882c" target="_blank">Kaizer Chiefs being one of the clubs mentioned.</a>Championship side Queens Park Rangers and Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ettifaq have emerged as other clubs after the Super Eagles custodian, according to renowned journalist <a href="https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1764183930960261300?s=20" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano.</a>The two clubs are said to have made enquiries about Nwabali and Chippa will look into his future.

With QPR and Al Ettifaq said to be interested in Nwabali, the chances of Chiefs getting him appear slim.Financially, it looks tricky for Amakhosi to compete for a player with a Championship club as well as a team from the money-rich Saudi Arabia.Amakhosi are looking for a long-time replacement for Itumeleng Khune and the Nigeria goalkeeper was thought to be the perfect candidate.
