  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Earps is out of contract at Man Utd this summer and though negotiations have been ongoing for a while, the two parties have been unable to come to an agreement. Le Parisien now understands that the England goalkeeper will indeed leave the Red Devils on a free and sign for PSG in the coming days.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

PSG are set to lose Tabitha Chawinga to French rivals Lyon, and Sandy Baltimore to English champions Chelsea, but the report says they will make a splash by offering Earps a contract that will make her the highest-paid goalkeeper in the women's game. The Parisians are also set to secure the signing of Griedge Mbock Bathy, the highly-rated Lyon centre-back.

  • WHAT EARPS SAID

Speaking to Sky Sports about her Man Utd future last month, Earps explained that she had "asked the club for some confirmation on what they're trying to achieve" as negotiations continued over a new deal. "When I have those answers then I'll be able to make those decisions, so it's kind of up to the club," she said.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

That she is set to depart will raise concerns over the direction of the Red Devils' women's team, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe's recently confessing that he and his staff had not yet gone into 'detail' on a plan for the side. "We've been pretty much focused on how we resolve the first team issues," he told Bloomberg, referring to Erik ten Hag's charges.
