    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso, Masandawana attacker Iqraam Rayners, and Kaizer Chiefs star Mduduzi Shabalala have won the November and December PSL awards. 

    The Portuguese tactician has gracefully secured the PSL Coach of the Month award for November and December 2024, after winning three league games within these months.

    Meanwhile, the Bafana Bafana star Rayners was awarded the Player of the Month title in recognition of his exceptional performances this season so far.

    Furthermore, Amakhosi standout performer Shabalala, who has been showing fighting spirit for Nasreddine Nabi's side, clinched the Goal of the Month accolade for his goal he scored against Chippa United.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The monthly awards for November and December 2024 in the PSL were evaluated by a respected panel.

    Rayners and Cardoso's Sundowns are currently at the top of the PSL standings, having emerged victorious in ten games out of eleven of their opening league matches.

    Meanwhile, Chiefs are sixth in the log table, after winning five, losing five, and drawing three games out of 13 matches, with Shabalala scoring four goals so far.

    WHAT NEXT?

    Sundowns are presently focusing on the Caf Champions League where they will face Moroccan outfit AS FAR Rabat on Sunday at the Loftus Versveld Stadium in their latest group stage game.

    On the other hand, Shabalala will be looking to help Chiefs bounce back to winning ways after a loss to Golden Arrows when they face Sekhukhune United in a PSL match on the same day as Masandawana.
