    WHAT ZWANE SAID

"That's obvious. I think it's Ribeiro," said Zwane as per Soccer Laduma.

"You can see how he helped the team. He did wonders this season. I think they must give it to him. He deserves it. I think you can agree with me."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

After another campaign in which they won the PSL title, Sundowns are set to dominate the end-of-season awards like they have been doing in recent years.

Ribeiro is also likely to claim the PSL Golden Boot gong after managing to score 16 goals.

The last five seasons have seen Masandawana players being named the league's best players.

Already, their coach Miguel Cardoso is tipped to be crowned the PSL Coach of the Season.

    WHAT NEXT?

On Tuesday, the league released a statement regarding the end-of-season awards.

"In recent seasons, the Premier Soccer League Awards Ceremony has traditionally been held during the month of June," the league said in a statement.

"However, due to Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club’s participation in both the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup and the 2024/25 Caf Champions League final, the League has taken the decision to postpone this season’s PSL Awards Ceremony.

"The PSL, its member clubs, and all stakeholders in professional football across the country are united in their support for Mamelodi Sundowns as they fly the flag for South African football at these prestigious events.

"The League will communicate the new date and further details of the Awards Ceremony in due course."
