    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Now that Ribeiro has left Sundowns, it is definitely going to be a tall order to replace him.

His versatility worked in favour of the Brazilians, who dictated the tempo from defence all the way to the attack.

With veteran captain Themba Zwane nursing back-to-back injuries, someone has to step up for Sundowns.

  • WHAT NEXT?

Sundowns have already missed out on the MTN8 and drawn two out of the five Premier Soccer League matches played.

The most important thing will be to deliver the CAF Champions League title and have a grip domestically. Otherwise, coach Cardoso might be shown the door.
