    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Now that the youngster has a place in the famed Spanish academy system, he will have to buckle down and work if he wants to follow in his famous father's footsteps.

According to research conducted by the International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching, just six percent of Spanish academy players make it into professional football and only half of those reach the elite levels of La Liga or the European league equivalent.

    WHAT NEXT FOR KUTLWANO RADEBE?

Apart from the football, the youngster will need to settle in quickly to living in a foreign country far from home, family and creature comforts.

He will be able to seek advice from his dad as Lucas Radebe also uprooted his life and moved to England in 1992 to join Leeds United, where he became a legendary figure for the team's supporters and is still a welcome figure around Elland Road.
