Is this the same person? Leon Goretzka’s latest body transformation stuns fans four years after Bayern Munich midfielder turned into the Hulk

A new photo of the German midfielder has gone viral on social media. In the image from Bayern Munich's pre-season training, the 29-year-old can be seen posing with his hands on his hips, looking like he's lost some muscle and hair.

Under former Bayern boss Hansi Flick, Goretzka grew considerably bigger, causing some to say he'd undergone a 'Hulk'-like transformation. Some believe Flick's departure has sparked the reduction in size, with @cormacohallora2 writing: "Hansi flick left, he got him into that shape."

@Utdanoldt asked "Is this the same person", while @HKrtkovic was equally bemused, writing: "No way that's real."

"Bro lost all his aura," wrote @outXOftime, and @Bowmanator86 joked: "Had to play with Eric Dier."

The Germany international appeared in 30 matches across all competitions last season where he scored six goals and provided nine assists. However, despite his decent performance in club football, he was omitted from Julian Nagelsmann's 26-man squad for Euro 2024.

Vincent Kompany's side will be next seen in action on Wednesday as they take on Rottach-Egern in their first pre-season friendly match.
