Kaizer Chiefs' winless run extends after frustration from Sekhukhune United as Mamelodi Sundowns close in on Orlando Pirates

Amakhosi's bid to defend their title received another setback after they dropped points as their rivals, including Bucs, keep winning. Masandawana, on the other hand, were impressive as they outsmarted Usuthu to go just behind the Sea Robbers.

    Chiefs frustrated

    Kaizer Chiefs' winless run in the Diski Challenge has extended to four games after a 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United on Sunday. 

    The defending champions took the lead in the 27th minute when Shaun Els scored, but they were denied a win after Babina Noko equalised through Ntokozo Msimango two minutes after the hour mark.

    Sundowns outwit AmaZulu

    Mamelodi Sundowns recorded a second straight win after a 3-0 victory over AmaZulu.  

    Oarabile Booysen scored the opening goal in the 12th minute before Chuene Moabelo doubled the lead in the 44th minute.

    The scoreline was extended far beyond Usuthu's reach when Bennet Mokoena found the back of the net in the 58th minute.

    The win took Downs' tally to 13 points, and a superior goal difference places them second on the table above Richards Bay.

    The Sea Robbers, who extended their winning run to five games after beating Golden Arrows, lead with 16 points.
