Chiefs enjoyed a dream start, taking the lead within the first two minutes when Ashley Du Preez intercepted a back pass in the box and clinically fired a shot to open the scoring.&nbsp; However, as the game progressed, the home side found their rhythm, with Victor Letsoalo equalizing six minutes before halftime with a low glancing header from close range, connecting with a cross from Augustine Mulenga, which saw the teams enter the interval deadlocked at 1-1.In the second half, both teams had opportunities to seize the lead, intensifying the competitive nature of the match.However, at the final whistle, the score remained deadlocked at 1-1, leaving Chiefs in eighth place, with AmaZulu occupying the 12th spot on the PSL standings.

Despite conceding an early goal, Usuthu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa pulled off some crucial saves in the latter stages of the match, to ensure the KwaZulu-Natal side secure a point.

Once more, Amakhosi struggled to maintain their lead, allowing Usuthu to bounce back into the contest. This marks the second instance in a week where Chiefs have relinquished a lead, following their 2-2 draw with TS Galaxy in their midweek match.
