Jose Riveiro opens up on Mofokeng's development at Orlando Pirates - 'No one is surprised by Relebohile’s performances'

Relebohile Mofokeng has turned himself into a key player for Orlando Pirates in his third season of professional football.

The Buccaneers coach Jose Roveiro gave Mofokeng his official debut and goes through what he has seen in the development of the midfielder.

“I think no one is anymore surprised about Relebohile’s performances,” Riveiro said as per iDiski Times.

“He’s in a good moment like the rest of the team. They are confident right now to play their football, to express themselves, and when you have such a talent, you know inside you. 

“In the end as coaches we provide to the players is structure, is the right space for them to express themselves, to execute, show their skills. 

“The confidence for the players is to consistently play, to give them responsibilities more than nice words," added the Spaniard.

“When they play or they don’t play, but in our case, every player upfront in this team is a really talent player with capacity to do and to create a lot of problems to the opponent."

The real test is yet to come for Mofokeng when Pirates will be competing in the Caf Champions League, a grand stage he is yet to showcase his skills on.

The 20-year-old has been gaining experience on the continent with Bafana Bafana and the Champions League will further test him.

That would help in making him a complete player for both club and country.

The Buccaneers will now have free time for the next few weeks and return to competitive action on November 26.

They wull be visiting CR Belouizdad for a Caf Champions League Group C match.
