Palhinha completed a £48 million move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024, bringing an end to the Bavarians' chase of the Portuguese defensive midfielder. However, the 29-year-old struggled for form and failed to get enough minutes at Allianz Arena through this season, and is now looking for a move away as he is looking to revive his career.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Bayern Munich are reportedly open to letting Palhinha leave this summer on a loan deal, and Manchester United are said to be interested in striking a move for Palhinha. The Red Devils believe that the Portuguese midfielder could be a target worth chasing, as he would be a low-cost but Premier League-experienced player to add to the faltering United squad.

  • TELL ME MORE...

The Sun has reported that Fulham are considering rivalling Manchester United for the loan signing of Palhinha. The Cottagers are conducting a whole host of departures this summer with close to 13 players headed for the exit. As such, Marco Silva believes that Palhinha could settle into the side in a period of transition.

    WHAT NEXT FOR PALHINHA?

The Portugal international remains committed to proving his worth at Bayern Munich; however, he is said to be open to a loan deal away this summer. As such, only time will tell whether Palhinha will head back to Fulham or decide to take a chance with a move to a struggling Manchester United.
