    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Williams has enjoyed an exceptional 2024 calendar year, aiding Bafana Bafana in securing third place at the most recent Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast earlier this year.

The Masandawana goalkeeper gained global recognition after being nominated for the Yachine Trophy at the 2024 Ballon d’Or Awards, where he achieved a ninth-place finish.

Moreover, Broos led his team to a bronze medal for the first time in 24 years. He also helped South Africa qualify for the 2025 Afcon finals in Morocco without losing any matches during the qualifying rounds.
