    WHAT HAPPENED?

Vusumuzi Vilakazi was appointed to co-coach AmaZulu alongside former Kaizer Chiefs tactician Arthur Zwane.

The duo was given the job after Pablo Franco Martin was fired following a poor start to the ongoing campaign.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Zwane and Vilakazi helped Usuthu to stabilise after the unconvincing start.

However, the club confirmed a shocking exit of the latter just a couple of weeks ago.

It was an unforeseen decision given what the club was achieving.

His agent, Mike Makaab, has since opened up to what led to the coach's exit.

    WHAT MAKAAB SAID

"He's got some certain personal issues that he has to attend to. They are deep issues and we are here to support him. We are going to help him through this difficult time," he said as quoted by SNL24.

"I believe that once these matters have been dealt with, he will be back sooner than later. He's a talented young coach and, with a clear mind, we hope to see him back on the field soon.

"It's a little bit of a sabbatical. We'll help him through the process of what he is going through and we will take it from there," Makaab concluded.
