    WHAT HAPPENED

Chiefs made several top signings hoping to challenge for top honours in the ongoing campaign, but things have not gone as planned.

Changes were made in the technical team after just 13 matches; Molefi Ntseki was fired while Arthur Zwane was sent back to the club's academy.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Former Al Ahly coach Calvin Johnson has been coaching the Glamour Boys on an interim basis after Ntseki's exit.

In the last five Premier Soccer League matches, Amakhosi have collected three wins with two ending in losses. The Soweto giants have won their last two matches with an improved display by players.

It is for that reason, Thobejane believes Amakhosi are back and they will make it three wins in a row on Saturday when they play Richards Bay.

    WHAT THOBEJANE SAID

"I believe the glory days are back in Naturena! I think they have now regained confidence after their past two wins, which is something we have been lacking before," Thobejane told Kick-Off.

"I believe the Richards Bay game is an obvious one, Chiefs will get their third win in a row. Kaizer Chiefs' biggest challenge is not getting the ball in the net but now, everything is getting there. The players are starting to understand each other and what the coach wants from them.

"I believe from now on, the supporters will give them that needed support following their performances in the last two matches," he added.

"Glory days are back now, sometimes you need to be patient, there is no need for Chiefs to rush to get a new coach."

    WHAT NEXT

Winning the PSL trophy this season is a tough call for Amakhosi owing to their poor start and Mamelodi Sundowns' form.

However, Johnson and his charges can dream of ending the club's nine-year trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup.
