The duo is understood to have enrolled for SAFA C (CAF C) coaching licences in a training exercise that started on October 4 and is expected to end on October 11.
Motsepe began his training for the D Licence entry-level coaching badge in 2023 in a class that also had Gavin Hunt's daughter, Kaitlin Hunt.

Future Downs and Amakhosi coaches?
Both Chiefs and Sundowns have had the tradition of appointing experienced coaches for their senior teams in order to maintain their competitive level and deliver more success.
But Motsepe and Simmons' training may suggest they are being prepared for bigger roles in their respective clubs.

Who are the other trainees?
Chiefs academy player Kenneth Simmons is also understood to be among those undertaking the SAFA eight-day training course.
Simmons, who was part of the Chiefs side that retained the Under-17 Gauteng Development League Cup in 2023, recently worked as a coaching intern in the Amakhosi academy.
Former Amakhosi and Namibia international goalkeeper Virgil Vries, who was part of the Chiefs' setup in the 2018/19 season, is also among the coaches being trained for the relatively advanced-level licence.
The coaching students are expected to be trained on player development for the 13–16 age group. Their training will also focus on coaching methods, basic tactics, and football concepts, and will be taught through theory lectures and practical sessions.
