    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Krieling, who took charge of the reserve team in 2023 when Thabo September moved to Chippa United, has joined the Sea Robbers after SuperSport United's status was sold to Siwelele FC.

During his time as SuperSport United's DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) coach, he nurtured several players who went ahead to become Premier Soccer League stars. One of them is Ime Okon, who recently signed for German side Hannover 96.

South Africa's promising star Shandre Campbell, as well as Thabang Mahlangu, was also nurtured at SuperSport United's reserve team. Mahlangu won the DDC Golden Boot when SuperSport won the league in the 2022/23 season.

Amid excitement and expectations, he now joins the Sea Robbers, who appointed Abdeslam Ouaddou as the head coach, succeeding Jose Riveiro.
