Former Mamelodi Sundowns assistant set to be appointed as new head coach of Tanzanian giants Young Africans - Report

Romain Folz recently wrapped up a short stint in Algeria with Olympique Akbou, where he helped steer the relegation-threatened side to safety in just eight games. 

Now, the 35-year-old tactician is believed to be on the verge of starting a new chapter in the Tanzanian Premier League.

iDiski Times shared that sources within the club have confirmed they are expecting his arrival this week, to officially succeed Miloud Hamdi – who has made the move to Egyptian Premier League club Ismaily.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach previously worked with Township Rollers, Marumo Gallants, AmaZulu, and Horoya AC. 

A yet-to-be officially confirmed move to Yanga could mark the next exciting chapter in his coaching career.

Having completed a clean sweep of domestic titles in the 2024/25 season, the East African giants have firmly reasserted their dominance at home.

Now, with a possible move for Folz on the horizon, the focus could shift to building on that success and chasing continental glory in the CAF Champions League.
