Adams is in his fifth season playing <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/premier-soccer-league/yv73ms6v1995b5wny16jcfi3" target="_blank">Premier Soccer League</a> football but this is arguably his best term.It is a season in which he became a full South Africa international and was at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with Bafana Bafana.His exploits have not gone unnoticed and the 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns.The Brazilians' legend, Roger Feutmba explains why he thinks joining Masandawana would be the best decision by Adams.

WHAT HAPPENED?

“I&nbsp;personally&nbsp;think it's a good move for the team,” Feutmba told <a href="https://www.snl24.com/soccerladuma/local/premiership/mamelodi-sundowns/jayden-adams-transfer-win-win-mamelodi-sundowns-bafana-20240505" target="_blank">Soccer Laduma</a>.“If you look at him he is still young and is a Bafana Bafana player which means he will give other players in the team competition which is needed and it will also replace them in a good way when one is out injured or suspended.“And, you know Sundowns play in almost every tournament and they need a big squad. From the way I have seen him play, I see that he will fit into Sundowns' style and philosophy," he continued.&nbsp;“He is a versatile midfielder and you need a player like him at Sundowns to compliment the midfielders who are already there.“You know every season Sundowns will be playing in the Caf Champions League and as a Bafana Bafana&nbsp;player&nbsp;it's good that he gains that experience of playing in Africa," the Cameroonian added.“It's good for his growth as a player and it won't just benefit Sundowns but also the national team.“So, I think Adams' move to Sundowns will benefit many people as well.”

WHAT FEUTMBA SAID

Stellenbosch coach Steve Barker has acknowledged his player has attracted interest from elsewhere but says <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/stellenbosch-tell-mamelodi-sundowns-hands-off-amid-reported-interest-in-bafana-bafana-star-adams/blt23c74bee31908c21#cs081f2e3c33a10870" target="_blank">they are not yet willing to lose one of their top players.</a>But the Cape Winelands club are used to losing key players every season and go on to perform decently.This term they are challenging for a Caf Champions League spot despite selling Junior Mendieta to Mamelodi Sundowns and Sibongiseni Mthethwa to Kaizer Chiefs.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

With Stellenbosch still within a chance of finishing second on the PSL table and winning the Nedbank Cup, that presents another chance for Adams to shine and make himself more attractive in the market.That will also increase his chances of Adams returning to the Bafana Bafana fold after being snubbed for March's international friendly matches.
